I love it. good for hand tools

I really like this stone as it helps to complete my low grit collection. I like the fast cutting action; It picks up the burr right away and the feedback is satisfying for my relatively inexperienced hands. My only real complaint is that it wears out quicker than I'd like. I'd say it's about the same or a little slower than my King Deluxe 1000. Not a big deal but since I use it for both kitchen knives and chisels/slicers it means I only have to remove a fair amount of material relatively speaking, after each sharpening session of the knife to smooth it out so it's ready for my next planing session. I read that this is the 'equivalent' of the Shapton Pro series which is intended for the Japanese market, not the US. market (this is what the Pro line was designed for); I can neither confirm nor deny that (in fact I hope to one day get an equivalent Pro Stein for direct comparison). What I can say is that it's a pretty decent stone objectively, and despite its flaws, it's great to have in your arsenal.
