Worked great in 1997 4 Runner SR5 V6 but needed sanding
The section that rotates on top of the alternator needed to be sanded down to reduce thickness by about 5-10mm, after which it fit like a charm . You will need to grind or file this part to fit the 4th gen V6 4th runner, don't hammer it in although it might fit but will ruin the tensioner.
