Does not meet Kreg standards

I have used Kreg products for over ten years and have always been satisfied with their products and continue to use all but this one. As other reviewers have commented. Head is too small for #10 and requires more torque from screwdriver, does not pull/hold joint together as head is too easy to penetrate or remove. The normal "feel" when the screw hits the countersink is gone. Additional drilling for more clearance is also not an option, since the head wants to penetrate deep, which only makes the situation worse with softwood. On hard wood, #10 bits are often too big and will split the wood if they are anywhere near the joint(?), but allow for a 50% chance of a head breaking. If you look at the bolt, they've added a large cone between the shank and the head, leaving very little "flat" area to compress. I've had better luck with ceramic coated screws. As I said before, I continue to use their product but not this one.
