Review/Installation Guide and Notice

Review: Yes, the actual moving handle of this door knob is metal, but the strut or "frame" is plastic. You'll notice that the moving handle is cooler than the rest of the metal material despite being covered in the same color as the frame. Besides that, that's probably what broke on your car, ha! (Same.) INSTALLATION: First, unscrew the two screws on top with this nifty hex head screw. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry the handle off the actual door. You'll find it's stuck there with two clips similar to the ones you had. DO NOT BREAK THEM! Use this flathead or a smaller flathead to depress the 2 tabs that hold the clip to the doorknob. Start with the left clip and then go to the right or easiest clip first. DO NOT MOVE THE ORIGINAL CLIPPIE NOW. Simply mark on the cable where the terminals are. If you need to replace it, if you don't need to replace it - don't do it! Simply put on the new handle from right to left or vice versa. Screw the handle back on and check. If it's a bit sticky and difficult to open at times - probably because you're used to a weaker spring - you can adjust where the clips go, just try not to drop them in the door.
