This little board is great. In just a few hours it wrote the serial data from my Arduino to the SDCard. I started following SparkFun's instructions to upload a new program through the FTDI interface adapter, but quickly found that the built-in program was all I needed, allowing me to start using it right away. You can connect the TX/RX pins directly to the corresponding RX/TX pins on the Arduino (or other TTL serial data stream), and it will automatically write the data to a LOG file on the SD card. Timestamp in logs and capability runs at over 9600 baud, no worries about missing data For the price, size and performance, it's GREAT!
