I bought this rice cooker in 2010 and paid a lot more for it at the time. Having said that, I really can't complain as it looks and works just as well as it did when new. This rice machine is very durable and built to last. The notched extension opposite the handle can be placed on the rim of the pot or bowl, leaving one hand free to load the basket. So far I haven't had any problems with the piston sticking in the basket and the operation is actually pretty smooth. I mainly use this rice cooker for frying potatoes and spaetzle, but I'm sure it has many more uses. The only thing I can think of that would make it a little better is a bigger basket, but other than that I'm completely satisfied with this rice maker.
