I bought the XGPS150A to use with an old iPad that had the Hema Explorer app installed for highway and off-road use. The GPS receiver simply connects to the iPad via Bluetooth. The XGPS150A's companion app worked well enough to know that the GPS was operational, showing satellite strength and battery life. However, I had to restart the app when turning the GPS off and on again before the app would update. The Hema Explorer app has long worked great with GPS. I rode it over 5,000 miles over two weeks and was very happy with the battery life and performance of the XGPS150A. On the track and off-road has proven itself excellent. Dashboard heating wasn't a problem (outside temperatures reached over 100 degrees at times). Impressive little device!
