I have been using this product every year and for several windows for many years with no problems. I use 3M Premium because it worked well and the tape left no residue when removed. This year either the tape was defective or they changed the product because when I tried to separate the tape from the backing after sticking it on the window, the backing tore repeatedly. There were small pieces of paper that I had to scrape off with my nails. This has never happened before, you drew and got a stripe on each side. I don't know what has changed, but I know what I'm changing. I will not pay extra for a 3M product next year.
