Not impressed. I bought 8 of these to put in hot and cold pots. I knew they needed to be calibrated before use, so I used a boiling pot of water and my insanely accurate Thermapen to set the temperature on them. A few were gone! 1 showed 120°F at room temperature. Even after hot temperature calibration, many of the 8 show different temperatures at room temperature and in ice water. painful to use as an instant read thermometer. To calibrate, use pliers to take the hex head on the stem under the dial and rotate the dial in the direction you want to adjust.
