BENEFITS: - Aesthetic design - Wide range of water temperatures for multiple applications - Longer cord allows more flexibility in meter placement - Gooseneck allows better control over where subsequent streams of water go. Mostly moist soil around the tops of the filter paper. Traditional spouts often hit the top edge of the filter and bang catastrophically too temperature stopped working after about the third use. No big deal as the blue lights on the control panel will turn off when the water is ready. All in all this is a fantastic 5 star purchase and well worth the price.
