You can do almost any task with this pan. It is well build, perfectly designed and a joy to cook with. Everyone needs tools in the kitchen that give you confidence when you cook, this one does that for sure. The strainer is great for steaming vegetables and making pasta, though how much and which type of pasta can vary because of the depth of the pan. The quality is as good as any pan I've ever owned and I don't see it deteriorating any in the future with the proper treatment. Overall, this is an awesome pan.
