Read reviews about it. and yes, the thread really broke, but I got used to it quickly. I used the yarn to make some coasters as gifts for everyone at a hen party and they were a hit. The bride wanted all the extras! I had to buy some more of this yarn to make some extras for some extra requests. I found the touch of polyester worked well. Slightly less bulky than cotton, but still absorbent! I just love this shade of denim. Due to the split I am giving this product 4 stars. But I confess. After a few coasters I got used to it and splitting became easier to avoid.
