Works well. Keep in mind that cotton won't slip through your hooks as easily as synthetic yarn. I made kitchen towels out of it. They looked great until I washed them. The color bled which caused the colors to look very washed out. Given the color of the denim, that's fine, but I would have liked to have kept some of the deeper blue (especially cold washed).

I really liked this yarn at first. 85% cotton 15% polyester. I worked my way through 2 cones of fabric - made an amazing baby blanket in crochet baskets. However, the 3rd order was of lower quality. Split like crazy, lots of knots. But people are commenting on products made with it so I will be ordering again just hoping the quality improves.
