Bought this for our 2003 Jetta TDI. When we bought the pulled out the old one, we found that it was significantly larger than the original. The original was 90 amps. This is a 120 amp unit. It was quite difficult to get the old one out, raising concerns about installing this larger one. We got it and it works great and was a nice upgrade. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the lack of explanation of amps and the availability of options for some vehicles. Overall very happy and it was a good upgrade for the car but make sure you know what your car has before you buy.
