Review on ASUS Lite Portable USB 2.0 Slim 8X DVD Burner +/- Rewriter External Drive, Mac & Windows Compatible, Black (SDRW-08D2S-U/BLK/G/AS) by Alex Jones

In general, the drive works fine. However, a sensitive/weak laser reader must be present when reading discs that are not in the best condition. I was trying to watch an old DVD with good wear. It read the disc but had a very poor picture during playback. Half of the screen was green and occasionally blinking green, while the other half worked but also looked awful. Sound was reproduced well. The DVD wasn't in the best condition, but my other DVD players had no problem playing it. It worked as expected except for that drive. EDIT: Downgraded one star. Not sure what it is but I have another copy of the above DVD and had the same issue during playback. Originally a 4/5 rating, downgraded to 3/5.
