SEVERAL replacement kits gone through, Denise (bad cable with brains), KnitPics (Knitter's Pride is the same, just in different packaging), KA and now Hiya Hiya. Knitting needles tend to fall apart (horribly!) when you have a medium to large project or when you've been knitting your project for a long time. I haven't experienced that with KA or Hiya Hiya (cable mounts rotate), it's a great innovation/design. Larger KA needles have a bulge/edge near the connectors (annoying, sometimes you have to stop and pull the thread through that bulge). Because the Hiya Hiya cable assemblies are divided into large and small caps, this protrusion/edge is reduced. Hiya Hiya combines the best of KnitPics and KA with a great sharp point for my lace projects and a spinning line to keep the attached cords from coming loose from the needle. KA and Hiya Hiya bamboo surface is smooth, great product and value for money. I gave away my Knit Pics and now on Hiya Hiya and KA, rating Hiya Hiya a little higher.
