Keep your fingers crossed!

This is my fourth purchase of a Denon receiver as it was preceded by a broken avr5200. After receiving this 8500 I contacted Denon's repair service provider Panurgy and after discussing the issue I was having (power supply) they asked me to ship it to them. Shortly after they received it I received an email saying they couldn't fix it, parts were no longer available. I'm talking about a $2,000 high-end component, not a $200 stocking. They knew the model number and through my communication with them they knew it was a power supply component. ? So in addition to a paperweight of 2. 000 dollars it cost me more than $200 and a bunch of buses full of frustrations with shipping and handling. I also spoke to the Amazon board of directors and their logistics team about shipping this double box or canceling the purchase. They didn't do either, they sent it as is and of course pros are pros, when it was delivered there were two holes in the factory packaging from mishandling. no longer Denon they have teamed up with Marantz and Definitive and now Sound United, this unit cannot be purchased for an extended warranty and the factory warranty is three years. After that, cross your fingers or you could be the owner of a $4,000 newspaper. This Denon is a great machine, don't get me wrong, but: Denon isn't Denon anymore, they have merged with Marantz and Definitive and are now Sound United. You cannot purchase an extended warranty for this device and the factory warranty is three years. After that, cross your fingers or you could be the owner of a $4,000 newspaper.
