The flange that is supposed to protrude from the air filter housing is too short so the retaining clip cannot be put on. The original also has a molded key that fits into a slot in the air filter housing hole. Finally, is this piece 1/4" thinner than the original so you can't even easily swap out the breathable material, it's too loose. See attached pictures, original on the right. Basically it's very close, but wrong enough not to work.
