I bought this pair to replace a traditional drawer slide. My kitchen cabinets have a traditional American frame construction, not a European style. For a US installation, I strongly recommend using the 8404 front mount brackets, which must be ordered separately. You'll also need to order the 8402 rear mounting brackets. The manual that comes with it isn't that helpful. Read it anyway, because there is one important note about the switch trigger that you must press before installing. Then search YouTube for "how to install KV drawer side rails in your cabinets" and you will find a video showing you how to install them (countertop not included). With a countertop, this is rather tedious due to the limited space you are working in. Then the front mounting brackets come in handy so you can at least position the front correctly. The drilled holes on your old rear mounting brackets can give you a clue as to where to mount the new ones. It was trial and error for me until I got the bot slides on the same level and parallel. Installing elements on drawers is also done through trial and error. The 1 1/4" trick mentioned in the video didn't work for me as my old box was slightly crooked. One side had to be lower than the other to accommodate the box height. As a bonus, the rails and brackets are made in the USA made so you don't have to deal with Chinese ones.
