I had to use a knife three times to cut it out - useless! I don't use it that often though.
I've never had an OXO product fail, but this corkscrew just doesn't do the job right. If I manage to get the cork out of the bottle then it's almost impossible to get the cork out of the screw. I had to use a knife three times to cut it out - useless! I don't use it very often, but I would like to go back now.
