This tactical knife combo deserves five stars because of the very reasonable price. It is outstanding in all respects but one. The blade does not maintain high sharpness, and needs sharpening every few days to maintain a high level of sharpness. That is not a problem because a lightweight sharpener is included, and it works very well. But pack it with you if you are going camping.The entire knife is made from 440Carbon Black Stainless Steel While they claim this steel will maintain sharpness for long periods of time, that is only true if you dont use it. This is an excellent stainless in terms of long term resistance to rust and corrosion. It is not an excellent choice for the knife portion because it is not optimal for holding a very sharp edge. But those tac knives that use the better steels cost 3 to 10 times more.Because this knife is easily sharpened and the sharpener is included, this makes a great gift.
