Seems to just be made of cardboard

These work fairly well for what they are designed for, but these seem to be just made of cardboard so don't think you can just plant the entire thing into the garden hoping that the pot will dissolve easily. However, after many weeks of indoor growing, the cardboard tends to get a bit soft (especially on the bottom) so tearing away the pot prior to transplanting into garden is reasonable. FYI: Even though the bottom got soft after many weeks, roots did not penetrate the cardboard. They CANNOT…

Pros
  • The peat pots are designed to promote healthy root growth, giving your seedlings the best chance at thriving
Cons
  • The pots are not suitable for outdoor plants due to their fragile structure and inability to withstand weather changes

Work great no problems.

Like these little pots. Are holding up really well with my plants so far. I think heavy watering will cause the cups to fall apart so I have been watering just enough. I don't think the seeds and young seedlings don't need heavy watering anyway. They are somewhat fragile but not so much that they are difficult to handle but they have to be in order to break down quickly and completely after planting the potted plants.

Pros
  • Awesome price and quality would give it 5⭐️ But they do t absorb water to well.
Cons
  • The pots are not versatile since they are only suitable for starting seeds and not for replanting

Awesome little planters

I am so happy with this purchase. I was a little skeptical how they would hold up with florida wind and rain, but they have done AMAZING! As far as the mold people complain about, I really don't know what the big deal is especially since these are TEMPORARY.

Pros
  • Nice addition was the plant stakes
Cons
  • The pots do not come with a guarantee, leading to customer dissatisfaction and mistrust

Pots came with no holes at the bottom

Pots came with no hole. There’s no mentioning of this or a picture showing the bottom. It was easy enough to poke a few holes with a sharp metal, but I would not have got these if I knew they were no holes.

Pros
  • Product was used to start plants for vegetable garden in a hot house. Worked well.
Cons
  • The pots are not reusable and create unnecessary waste
