The first thing I would like to say about this umbrella is that it was easy to assemble. Yes, there are 2 different sets of screws, but there are 6 of one type & 4 of the other, & they are labeled. So if the directions say to use M8X14 screws, there are 4 of them. Now, you definitely need a base which is not included which I purchased at the same time. I'm that person that is terrified of making a bad choice, but after having this up for a week, I'm confident I made a good choice here. Hubby put this together by himself in about 15 minutes, easily. He was worried about it being top heavy, but as soon as we bolted it to the deck (see photo) its been very stable. The Umbrella is amazing. I have back and shoulder issues. I was concerned I would not be able to work the umbrella by myself. It is easy to control. The directions and set up were a snap. It is very sturdily constructed. The umbrella needs a base of some type. I used 16x16 cement pavers. I am sitting in the shade of this umbrella now. I hope to use in during the rainy season as a covered area to sit outside. When winter comes I will find out if it works.

We purchased this so that we could still enjoy our pool even when the hot sun is beaming down and none of it is shaded. It did just that perfectly! I love how you can move it in any direction as the sun changes positions. I also purchased the base and it is extremely sturdy. It will not stand alone as it says in the description so a weighted base of some sort is necessary. The fabric is thick and of good quality and this thing is HUGE when it is opened all the way! We love our purchase!

This umbrella is very attractive, great color options and easy to assemble. I have been wanting a large standing umbrella for our hot tub on rainy days and was pleasantly surprised with size and quality. We are a little concerned that it will hold up to really windy days but haven't had one yet to test it out. Customer service is outstanding and they even provide a spare canvas free of charge in addition to a lifetime warrantee. Highly recommend this product and company!
