Poorly made, the best of power and hand tools

Poorly made, once released the pliers fall apart and need reassembly. The old vise was a quality product, a very cheap, almost disposable version of a once great brand. I have and still use the larger original I bought 30 years ago which is a shame but I doubt this one will last 30 days.

This small size long nose version is really comfortable.

Works well. I have one that I use for many different jobs at home. I recently caught a bolt in my tire and it was the only thing I could use between the threads to hold the head of the bolt so I could get it out. Ordered one for each car to keep with tire repair kits.

Won't stay stuck :(

Vise tools are used to indicate quality tools. I bought this Irwin needle point vise because I needed a tool I could rely on to make repairs easier .NOT with this "vise!" Every time I tighten it and move my hand to tighten or loosen something, the tool is released. No matter how hard I turn the mechanism, it loosens :( So disappointed!

Not as "rapidly released " as he claims.

I don't like that I don't have a little lever that opens the pliers like a regular vise does. I have a specific goal for them: to remove nails or broken screws that are driven into antique furniture that I am restoring. I have to pull them really tight to hold them. When this is done it is sometimes very difficult to open the pliers. I need a tool to open them. So they're probably fine for normal work, but be aware that if you overtighten them, you'll have trouble opening them.
