All in all a great purchase

This set arrived quickly and well packaged including a lovely fabric drawstring storage bag. Very happy with so many items at this price. In addition, a 2-year guarantee from the seller (Hiware) and a very nice handwritten thank you letter. We are so glad we have this as we hold a traditional seafood festival with lots of people on Christmas Eve every year.

Good but not quite as strong as it should be

I had an old set of lobster crackers that had been starting to deplete over the years and I was hoping to 'fill up' and I chose this set. He "decent" quality - not large, with hollow handles. I have a feeling they won't last very long but for the price I'm willing to take a chance. I suppose there must be better kits out there but I'm sure they will cost a lot more.

Eat more shellfish and have more fun with the right utensils

What I liked most was that you no longer have to bend spoons, knives or forks to reuse them to remove bits of seafood. In fact, the pleasure is in threading two or more shrimp on a skewer and brushing them with oil. I will no longer break my teeth on the tips of snow crab legs. Remove the meat from the steamer (clams) with one quick movement and smash the crab, free the lobster, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. I mentioned that I love seafood, shellfish, and good company.

Just what we needed to make our New Years Eve dinner perfect!

We traditionally treat our guests to crab sticks. And every year we find at the last minute that despite the commitment we made the year before to buying shrimp crackers and pickles, we invariably forget it and resort to channel locks, assorted tongs, rubber mallets, and sheer force. To extract delicacies from their stubborn shells. This year I remembered our longstanding forgetfulness and ordered them from Revain. They turned the always fun event into a more elegant one.

Purchased this set based on so many positive reviews for a wonderful lobster dinner. !$#% . Lesson learned: have they ever used them on lobsters over 2 pounds? My guests and family were forced to look for replacement cutting scissors and utensils on the bottom shelf. Luckily I had another older, heavier, higher quality pair of scissors and set as I had 9 people. We used to use tongs and crabmeat or a rubber mallet to split Dungeness crabs. This set of tools is much better. With hard shells in the claws or a large part of the feet, the tool cracker is perfect and works great. For soft parts you can use a red tool, e.g. a can opener to unzip the shell, or short, curved scissors to cut through the soft hole.
