I've always read the hype about aftermarket air filters regarding performance, increased mileage etc. I do not have a dyno, but it seems to me that there is a slight increase in starting torque, as well as a slight increase in mileage. But for the convenience of the leaf, you don't have to change the filter that often, it costs money, which I will save over time. I keep my cars on a high mileage so this is a great product and saves money.

I have used these K&N filters in my current and previous fx35 and now QX70S, both vehicles combined K&N filters have over 400,000 miles on them. I clean and lubricate my filters annually just to keep up with efficiency. The gas pedal is definitely faster. The performance increase is negligible. Purchased for a 2010 Nissan Rogue. After figuring out how to open the air filter holder, installation took less than a minute. It probably took longer to put a sticker on the filter cover warning mechanics not to remove the filter. This filter has been around for a long time. Why? My dad always put K&N on all his cars. I'm here too. I have a 2014 Nissan Sentra SV (2013-2016 will be the same, B17). Installation: Very easy. Open the hood. Insert socket. Open the plastic. Remove two fasteners. Pull out the filter. Insert a new one. Put it back in. Fasten it. Put the plastic tube back on. Put on the rubber bushing. Did. It took about 4 minutes.
