Good price for quality

Better go to the dealership to rent. The adapter I needed was not included in the kit at the dealership. trip lost. I was afraid they would blame me for the missing piece. Everything I have used on this kit has worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Some cons

Works very well.: Fuel Pressure Tester

Works well for diagnosing fuel problems on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra, 1997 Chevy Lumina Sudan and most importantly it has a Ford Schrader adapter for the fuel connector. Fuel distributor 7.5L EFI "460" Ford 1990. Very happy with it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not all will fit

My exhaust valve is leaking.

The product worked perfectly except for a leak at the outlet valve. The exhaust valve leaked a bit, reducing fuel pressure to 42 psi. Wrapped a rag around it which solved the problem. It didn't leak, but it leaked enough to require a rag or washcloth to catch the spilled fuel.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Quality sensor and parts

This is a quality tester with impressive material. I first used it on my jeep and it worked great. As with all fuel pressure gauges, remember to press the relief to release all the air so your needle doesn't jump too much. Would definitely recommend and would buy again.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great price - works great!

For occasional use - seems to fit - comes with adaptors, hoses, full instructions etc. (I give 5 stars for accuracy, but that's my guess - basically your pump/regulator is up to spec or not. +/- a pound or two isn't critical.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Broke after three uses

I had high hopes for this gauge but it broke on the third use. The gauge was accurate, but when I used the outlet valve to check the fuel pump volume, the valve decided to get stuck inside, causing a huge amount of confusion. Well, it was only $24, so I'm not too upset about it, but I still don't necessarily recommend it to everyone.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

Almost 5 stars. on Tools & Equipment

In general, this device feels very solid. Better than the HF I almost bought. Except one! There is a small sticky bit at the end of the main hose that is meant to depress the valve (or transition valve). Well that thing is SHIT! Congratulations Equus, you saved 1/2 cent on this VERY important part. I barely got the thing to work after straightening it with pliers. A tote bag would be nice too. Might return, not sure yet.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Good fuel gauge, every DIYer should have one

This is a good gauge with an easy to read face. It connects easily to the GM fuel rail valve with no leaks. This helped me locate the no start condition in my truck. At first I thought it was the fuel pump but as soon as I hooked up the gauge I saw that it had good fuel pressure that didn't drop when the pump stopped working. Then I tried starting with a pressurized fuel rail (but the relay came out so the pump didn't work). When the fuel pressure didn't drop when trying to start the engine, I…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

It's a keeper!

Thought I'd have to pay $700 to replace the fuel pressure regulator and/or fuel pump on a 253,000 mile 5.7 liter Vortec. At idle, the car worked smoothly, but sometimes there were strong vibrations. Those two conditions are a bit conflicting so I thought of checking the fuel pressure as the dealer originally suggested (and they wanted to replace all the injectors). I was shocked when the ignition kept reading 63psi and ran at 57psi. With the engine off, it held pressure in excess of 55psi for…
