🚗 3M Perfect-It EX AC Rubbing Compound for Automotive Applications, Quart Size (36060) Review

This wiping paste is ideal for removing UV radiation from plastic headlight covers. Cloth applied and buffed with a 3 inch nozzle and a drill on my 10 year old Sienna. Two applications on each lamp and a total of 30 minutes brought both lamps almost to new cleanliness. Only used about 1/3 on car. I'm 70 years old and this easily saves me $50-100 per car/truck/van.

I can't say how happy I am with this towel. I had about a square foot on the hood where I used a grinding wheel and I shouldn't have done it. I've tried Meguiar's Heavy Cutting Mix as well as another recommended brand with no success. I read about the 3M Perfect-it range and decided to give it a try. Fantastic results. He removed every scratch with a Porter 742XP cable. Great car. I love 3M products and this product is one of the reasons why. Although the cost is more expensive, it is worth it.

As with any car polish, you will get MUCH better results using an electric polisher compared to hand buffing. I use 3M Quick Change Pads with white foam pads and Perfect-It EX compound, followed by 3M Ultra Fine Blue foam pads with Ultra Fine Machine Polish. With this I always achieve a mirror finish on my bikes and cars and the blue combination removes streaks, holograms etc. left by the polish. Don't worry about intermediate masses or black pads as they are completely unnecessary.

I used it on my Honda Element The hood was badly oxidized I used 3M products in my dad's Chevy showroom when I was younger polishing cars , and 3M has come a long way , they've always had a great product but they've definitely improved it over the past 25 years. Bought to help a relative polish some ugly scratches on his paintwork. I used this mixture together with polish 06068 and finish polish 06094 and ended up with a flawless, almost mirror-smooth finish. It's important to realize that this is a SETUP, not a polish. polished (with POLISH) after using this product. This compound should never be considered the ultimate polish, but only an ill-informed hobbyist would expect that to be the case, and then expect that compound to hold its luster for well over a week, and then eventually complain when it didn't case is. Therefore, this composition is excellent for removing dull oxidized paint and for polishing after wet sanding with 1500 grit sandpaper

This material is like magic. I am truly amazed after using it on an acrylic bathtub with deep scratches and gouges that I thought would never shine.
