Works well, easy on and off welding hood. The hood is heavy and often falls off. If you have a hood, it will also put more strain on your neck when folded all the way back.

Does not fit my 9100fx. One of the pivot bolts on my helmet has a square ridge, this mount has a rounded ridge. It won't hook into the mounts on the hood so it won't snap or latch properly. The brackets don't quite fit either. It sucks that I order what this listing says should be straight seating and it's not. I want you to know FX.

Save money, there are alternatives for the 9100 series helmet. This particular adapter leaves a big gap between the helmet and the hood itself, so if you rub it you'll get fancy sparks / Debris will land on your face. You can literally put your fist between the lens or vent and your nose. I'm very disappointed with my purchase but that doesn't detract from the 9100. I like the 9100xx but it's funny that you're so limited as to what adapters 3m made compatible.

This product would have five stars if it had two functions. 1. I wish it would incorporate or retain the use of side grips on the helmet that hold the friction and anti reverse or whatever that keeps your hood in place when not in use. All you have are friction control knobs and no backstop. 2. I really want this to be a type of adapter that uses a one size universal spring on the back of the ring/head strap that fits over your helmet. This has a system of adjustment holes/pins on the front and
