Love the look of the exposed filament, bulbs are working out great in my bathroom

These were my first LEDs that have filament made to mimic Edison bulbs and are completely exposed. I installed these in my bathroom, which has a surprising number of light bulbs for being pretty small, and is also the only place in my house with a dimmer switch. I am so pleased with them. The fixtures in my bathroom are clear, with the purpose of having a pretty bulb inside I assume, so the bulbs look really nice both on and off. Beautiful Enough for a Design Nut, Eco-Friendly Enough for a Planet Lover

I'm so glad they make filament-style LED bulbs. While I am a pretty obsessed with caring for the environment, I am even more obsessed with design, so I used to sacrifice energy efficiency for looks. It makes me so happy to finally satisfy both my love for design and our planet.These are SO BRIGHT. I can't believe they only use 8W. Low cost, low energy LED bulbs with very cool looking filaments.

Received these in the mail yesterday. They were very well packaged, complete with cardboard boxes and a plastic insert to protect the glass bulbs. I wanted something with an old-school incandescent look for our dining room's hanging lights, but since we live in Florida and the room faces South, it gets very warm in there. I couldn't love these more! I'm an LED bulb addict now. and these are the BOMB! I put these into my standing directional lamp, replacing the energy guzzlers that were there before. First of all -- they are MUCH cooler looking. I'm waiting for Thomas Edison to show up, saying "Hey - I could have designed those myself!". Neat vintage bulbs in my review

These are nice bulbs so far. They do not get very hot, are quite compact, and instant on. Look very much like a classic clear bulb. The only strange thing is that they operate on an odd frequency, which is not too noticable, but is there. If you swing a pendulum or string you will notice it strobe very slightly.

The reasons for switching from incandescent bulbs to LED are really about using a lot less electricity and getting the same amount of light. The LED bulb market is still relatively new and emerging and the qualities of various LED bulbs are still in question. The vast majority are manufactured in China.
