The new hose fitted perfectly and I was so happy! It worked great for a few months, but when I was vacuuming with a hose, using a small brush to clean the couch, the plastic cover broke! I think the plastic has split in half so the tubing no longer snaps into place. I am very disappointed and deserve a hose replacement.

Everything was fine at first, but now, less than a year after purchase, there is already at least one hole. And that's just for normal use. I don't vacuum every day or extend the hose every time I vacuum, and the vacuum itself is kept in a closet in the hallway so the hose isn't exposed to extreme temperatures or constant rough use. Wouldn't recommend it.

The hose on our vacuum started to fall apart around the coils and of course this happened in the middle of trying to move into a new house. In an attempt to get MacGyver to make it work, I covered the hole with duct tape, which seemed to work pretty well until another hole ripped into another piece. The hose on my DC33 recently ruptured. Since the original lasted almost 7 years, I wanted to get an original part. I bought what I thought was an OEM for double the price of this one, but it wasn't the same as the original and the attachments didn't fit. This one is about 2-3 feet shorter than the original when fully extended, but it's inexpensive and the attachments fit snugly. Of all the substitutes available I would say this is the best.
