Yes, they consider bonsai care a type of zen activity in Japan. If you are going to relax, contemplating the inner ancient tree, hiding in your 7 year old Bonsai plant, then you are going to require the proper tools for the job. These are those tools. The long taper on the clippers, allows you to cut between the openings of the outer branches, reaching the inner branches without disturbing the soft growth in the outside of the tree. They cut perfectly best in my review

Only dislike is the handles are definitely made for people with large hands. My boyfriend has no problem but it's a little uncomfortable for me. Not a deal breaker though, still an amazing deal for the price!

Three outta five ain’t bad.

Two of the five items, did not function well. The connection point was not well done, the item was loose and the cutting edges would not meet properly. One of the items, the cutting edges met so poorly that it was not usable. The three items that work well, I am very happy with. It might just be a little hit or miss on whether or not the tools that you need the most, work well.

Just ok good for the money

I have use it for months now overall other review are right. You get what you payed for everything is loose but still in working condition.

Feel like an ironworker's tools from the 1800s that haven't aged well

I suspected that this set was low quality before purchasing, but I decided to try it. My suspicions were confirmed; one of the shears had a poorly bucked rivet that resulted in a sloppy cutting action. These shears are not coming near my bonsai. Overall, these are not pleasant tools to interact with and distract from the meditativeness of caring for a bonsai.

Good quality set: my feedback

This is a pretty full set of bonsai tools. I got this for my mom for Christmas as she has a few bonsai. She really likes them. Several tools for all the different types of trimming and arranging.

These tools appear to be hand-forged. They are very heavy-duty and well made. They make good cuts because they are sharp!
