Great product, nice and loud

I love it when attaching sensors and other stuff is a headache. I literally had to use oil to glue it in, but it was worth it because now my whole town is going to hate me.

This product has both pros and cons

Cons: First let me say that while it has been said here that this is a direct replacement for my 2016 Jeep Patriot, it is not is the case and one has to improve something. my part. I didn't take into account that the ECU was installed on the original air filter housing. If you don't want that, stay away from it. Pro: The performance gain was more than I expected. Upon letting off the gas pedal, I saw a 10% increase in MPG. Also significantly increased acceleration.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • So far so good

Great addition to the Compass 2.4L

Installation: Installation took about 2 hours, I am a competent auto mechanic and have all the tools necessary to get the job done. Overall the installation wasn't incredibly difficult, but as others have said there wasn't much room to work when connecting the CAI to the throttle body. The other tricky part was getting the airflow sensor into the included CAI socket (I lubricated it well and wiggled it around with a rag at the end so as not to hurt my hand, took about five minutes, I heard…

Pros
  • 2007 Handy item
Cons
  • Crumpled

I love it! Improved performance, improved sound

Love it! It took me a full 2 hours to install on my 2008 Jeep Patriot (mainly due to limited space in some areas), but overall it's doable for any inexperienced DIYer. I noticed an immediate improvement in the car's response and acceleration (not critical, but worth the money). I haven't had it installed long enough to comment on the fuel efficiency. It definitely has a dramatic impact on the sound. Below 2500 rpm it's not much louder than the original, although it does sound a little lower…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
