The bits worked flawlessly

I used these to drill/tap some aluminum stock for a few projects. Like any drills take care to not push to hard, especially with the smaller bits, or you risk breaking them. Remember, let the tools do the work!

Pros
  • ‎Sliver Metric
Cons
  • May be difficult to find replacement parts or bits

Don't let the price fool you. These are GREAT!

Awesome! I was waiting for the Dewalt set to drop in price, but figured I'd give these a chance since they were so cheap. They worked GREAT! I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Pros
  • Each size of the bit set can be purchased separately in a 5pc pack in our store.
Cons
  • May produce inaccurate results

Brittle and broken bits.

Had these in my toolbox just in case for about a year. Finally had to tap some metric machine screws on a part. Immediately broke the M4 bit. Then broke the M5, and M6 tap bits the moment they bit into the 14 gauge mild sheet steel. Pretty pissed. Drove a few self tapping screws instead without any effort. Waste of money, waste of time.

Pros
  • Low cost, easy to use, seems durable
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on very thin materials

Won't hold up with mild steel use.

Don't know what these are made of but it is brittle. Tapped one 1/4" hole then the next one it broke from fatigue, Even using cutting oil, will buy a real steel tap set. Don't waste your money.

Pros
  • They worked well...
Cons
  • Thought these would be useful for several things, especially threading wood. They're ok. Not great.

Nice concept but half the tip broke off in aluminum

The concept of using one piece to do all the work is great but I don't think the thinner ones have much of a chance. Certainly didn't in the aluminum extrusion I was working with. It's an already routed out hole that is slightly smaller, plenty of oil and it still snapped at the weak point 3rd one I did.

Pros
  • Seems to be fine and a good price thanks.
Cons
  • May become dull quickly

Worked great, until a thief stole them

These worked great the one time I got to use them. Then they were stolen. But I'm sure if I'd have got to keep them, they would still be working as.well as they first did.

Pros
  • ‎DC016
Cons
  • May require a high level of skill to use effectively

Poor metal Snapped very easily

I bought a total of 3 of these and had some very poor luck with them. Using on some 3/16 inch copper bus bars. The tap portion seems to bind easily and snap. I managed to get 34 holes drilled and tapped using 3 of these. (they are all snapped now) Would not recommend.

Pros
  • Excelente mucho mejor calidad que greenlee
Cons
  • Seems to work fine in plastic and aluminum. Snapped the first time I used it in steel.

These are trash on my review.

On my very first attempt at tapping a hole in aluminum, the 5/32 bit broke., leaving me now, with a piece of bit I have to figure out how to get out. Complete and utter trash. Don't buy.

Pros
  • good bits for a non thick metal
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with cordless drill drivers
