🚀 K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Enhanced Performance, Power Boost: Fits 2008-2012 DODGE/RAM (Ram 1500, 1500)63-1529 Review

Installed about 3 months ago Ram 1500 4.7L 2008. It is very noisy when you step on it. Might freak your wife out and keep asking you if you did it right :) A week later they also installed the Flowmaster dual exhaust. I would not use this product with a stock exhaust but would definitely use an aftermarket exhaust. Significantly changes how my truck drives and shift patterns. Maybe you need to set up your computer or something :) Easy installation!

I have been using this product for about 3 years and I am still very satisfied with it. No major problems were identified with the filtration system. All you need is a simple filter cleaning and you're done. It has a nice whistling sound that is clearly noticeable even with my loud exhaust system. Cons: The only issue is that the piece of plastic breather pipe they give you to attach to the air intake pipe broke in half on mine. Seems to be a common problem at K&N. I bought the 63-1529 kit to try and improve the fuel economy of my husband's truck. He attempted to install the kit yesterday and everything went fine, down to installing a K&N air filter on the air hose. The kit was supposed to contain an RF-1040 filter and the box had an RF-1040, but the diameter of the flange used to attach it to the air hose was MUCH large. First of all, it's a complete lie to claim that the required hardware is included. No big deal, only wrenches, ratchets and a drill are needed, but don't expect it. Second, two mounting brackets are provided where the press braked incorrectly.
