There was only one bolt, which was quite difficult to make yourself because it required a bolt.

My 2015 Tacoma does not need trimming. There was only one screw which was quite difficult to make yourself as it required a lever in the engine bay and another underneath so I suggest a second hand for this part. I don't notice too much noise during normal driving as I already have an exhaust. I notice a little better acceleration. The only issue I have is that when riding more aggressively, there is a vibration that I can't pinpoint exactly.

Filter Power Up

After installing this on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma with a 4.0 liter V6, you can hear the roar coming from this thing on cold starts. Hit the gas at 60 mph before you can get another boost, but with the new air intake it literally sounds like you have a supercharger. I'm not joking. When you step on the gas, the thing roars. Although the gas consumption has suffered. I can say that I eat a lot more fuel. But for me it's okay. I love driving next to someone on the freeway and hearing the air intakeโ€ฆ

Good performance but room for improvement.

I like the final fit and performance, but this air intake MUST be adjusted. The secondary air pump can cause problems. Secondary Air Pump Issues: - Poorly designed mounting brackets - OEM wiring harness is too short, you MUST re-route the wiring harness. The wiring harness does not go through the air box - The hose of the air pump line is too long, you must shorten the hose when using it to avoid kinks - If you look at other people's posted photos, you will find that the air hose is kinkedโ€ฆ

Easier than most people posting

Purchased for my 2014 Tacoma TRD off-road package. I asked the dealer to add a TRD exhaust system which I really like. The price and stats were better than the TRD Cold Air Intake, so I went with a K&N unit. For all those who have complained about the instructions and the complexity of the installation, you should probably stop working on cars. The operation is not difficult at all if you follow the instructions step by step and often look at the pictures. The trickiest part is the single screw
