Stripped ratchet, do it, get this set!

I bought this kit because I wanted a kit that matched the dimensions of my car. I used it for the first time this week only to find the ratchet wasn't good. The ratchet rotates to tighten but misses, when reversed to loosen it strips completely. This set is utterly useless without a decent ratchet to work with. Very disappointed, no excuses for doing something so bad.

Great value for money, BUT. to Power & Hand Tools

This is a great set especially for the price. NOTE ONE THING: ------ OPEN THE LATCHES DOWN. Apply masking tape to the side that should be in the UP position. Don't worry if you open it WRONG, it will teach you not to do it again since most of the tools are scattered everywhere and it will take you a long time to clean it up. I learned it the hard way. I'm just letting you know

Very close to a 5 star rating

The comments in the reviews are very consistent with what I found when I opened the box. The set looks high quality and the depth of the individual parts is sufficient for my needs. The only improvement needed (and noticed by other commenters) is that the plastic case isn't designed to snap into place. Proceed cautiously or you will end up with a 69 pickup situation on your hands! At best you get a 5th star. Good value for money. You really need to redesign the body to make the pieces snap…

Two years - still cracking!

I bought these in early 2019 to start repairing cars in my family garage. Having gone through various projects including but not limited to replacing a radiator, removing a valve cover, removing wheels, spark plugs, suspension dampers and some equipment, they still work! The 3/4 lengthening is starting to show weakness holding the heads (particularly an issue with spark plugs) but it started in late 2020 so normal wear and tear can be assumed to be the cause, which is to be expected. . If…

Very nice and well sorted socket wrench set. I have a reasonably complete emergency tool kit on my truck and this set of sockets, complete with the compact but sturdy case they come in, fits nicely in the tool tray I keep in my truck box. I used the set for the first time yesterday and found both sockets and ratchets to be of good quality. The only downside I noticed was that the deep rosette I used wasn't cut to "nut" size down to the base of the rosette. The bushing is hollow to the base…
