I purchased the first rug pad after I got my basement floor epoxy coating, and wanted a softer feel to my new throw rug. The epoxy over cement floor is nice in the basement, but a little too hard for a family room and play room. The 7/16 felt and rubber backed rug pad is working great. Just right for the playroom, not too soft, not too hard. The rug does not slip. I made sure the rug pad is smaller than the rug. After the success of the first 8 X 10 rug pad, I got a 5 X 7 rug pad, the same 7/16

Durable, thick pad. Holds area rug in place and added thickness enhances the feel underfoot. I was worried it might create a tripping hazard, but it does not at all. Great product!

I am really glad that I purchased these rug pads with the rubber backing (versus the one without made by the same company). These arrived exactly as described. It is one of the products that aren't necessary, but it does add a little more luxury and warmth to your space. I have two Ikea jute (natural fiber) rugs that I wanted to have more cushioning underneath and these worked perfectly. The non slip rubber is just a great addition to help them from slipping and protect our old hardwood floors.

These are good rug pads. I bought a small one first for an entry rug and it worked out pretty well. When I bought a larger pad for my 8x10 rug I decided to go for a thicker pad. I bought the 7/16” and as you can see it’s not. It’s only 3/8”. Not a huge deal at the end of the day since the 1/16 of an inch probably wouldn’t have made it cushier. This is a great pad for smaller rugs but it doesn't do very well for larger ones for whatever reason. The pad doesn't do a great job of sticking to the rug so it separates often and you can trip on it.

Bought the first of these pads when we replaced our old and tired-looking living room rug, a big 8 x 10 beast. Cutting the pad to size is the only PITA, because the rubber bottom makes using a box cutter or scissors into a process. But it's worth it. This pad made my flat pile performance rug feel so luxurious! Very nice quality. I gave it 4 stars because I found it difficult to trim with scissors. I did it but it was very slow.
