Bought the first of these pads when we replaced our old and tired-looking living room rug, a big 8 x 10 beast. Cutting the pad to size is the only PITA, because the rubber bottom makes using a box cutter or scissors into a process. But it's worth it. These pads don't slide around at all, and having them under our rugs makes walking on them much more comfortable than when we had those thin little rubber floor gripper sheets you can get.I have four of these now, as the headline says, and I don't care that they cost a fair bit more than other rug pads. These are great and I expect they'll help to keep all of our new rugs comfortable to walk on and holding up for longer than if we went with a cheaper alternative. They're especially nice with very thin rugs, like one we got for our daughter's room recently that's just a polyester print rug, maybe 1/8" thick. Without that pad underneath, walking on that rug wouldn't be any different than walking on the bare hardwood.
