Fits a ShopSmith, functions as expected

Bought this for my old ShopSmith band saw as it takes an odd length blade. I have been setting it up to do more metal work than woodwork and needed an appropriate metal blade. So far I have only been cutting aluminum, which it cuts like butter. Haven't tried cutting steel yet, which will be the true test.

Pros
  • cuts well and straight did the job I needed it to,
Cons
  • The price may be too high compared to other products on the market

Cuts metal like a Wood blade.uh huh.

Lasted about 20 seconds cutting mild 1/8" steel bar. Can't recommend it. Buy a portable band saw from the local 'Port Box Car Stuff' box store for the amount of money decent stationary band saw blades cost.really.I did, and made minutes of hours of work cutting steel.

Pros
  • Worked great cheaper then the hardware store
Cons
  • The blade may not be suitable for use in high-speed cutting environments
