From my point of view, excellent discs in every respect.

I bought three of these 3 terabyte hard drives. I haven't had any problems with any of them. I have them in my hub. And I use them to store video files. I collect video files from crime films made between 1930 and 1950. I also collect horror films from the 1930s to 1960s. I only use them as hard drives for storage. I have each of the three in the hub and run the hub for 4 hours each day. I don't get any sounds from them. They are all silent. I didn't have a single fault in any of the three…

Not new Discs suitable for computers and accessories

Of course there is a reason why they are so cheap. (hours) LBA_of_first_error# 1 Vendor (0xb0) Completed with no errors 00% 21488 - #2 Vendor (0x71) Completed with no errors 00% 21488 - However, no errors or problems. That's 2.5 years of service. Another report for 5 years. Given that these are Hitachi drives, which have the lowest failure rate among Seagate and WD, I feel a little better. The price is worth it.

The thing is terribly loud

The thing works, but nothing more. My biggest criticism of this hard drive is how noisy it is. Seriously, every time you load a program, even turning on your PC, this thing is annoyingly loud. I've never had such a noisy hard drive. It sounds like the drives inside are getting scratched by a knife, and this is almost constant since the hard drive is always in use. I am very disappointed with this purchase, I should have gone for the more expensive one to have better quality control.

Great for the price but has its downsides.

Storage is storage. As long as it stores your data at certain speeds, what difference does it make which brand it is. However, you get what you pay for and while this hard drive still serves me well, it does have one downside. It gets very hot and is one of the loudest HDs I've ever used. All of this doesn't mean it's a bad drive as it still works great, but I would only use it in a sealed PC case. If you have all the panels it's barely noticeable when it's on the floor or under a table etc. If

Cheap RAID 10 Build

I wanted to build a home server with large NAS and redundant media storage. I haven't had these discs in a few months, but I can't complain. Ultimately, time will tell if they manage to keep up with 24/7 uptime. They may not be server grade, but they're half the price of the Reds when I bought them. However, in Raid 10, losing one at home is not the same as losing one at the company.

Great but LOUD!

This drive is cheap and fast (I mean cheap). I bought two of these for $70 because I convert all my old VHS home movies to digital files for backup. They came the same day as Prime. I have two problems, but only one is hard drive related, so I'll start with this: THIS HARD DRIVE IS NOISY! Seriously, I'm tempted to pull out my sound level meter and see how loud it is. To put this in perspective, when it first came online I thought my DVD drive had just found the disc. My computer is about 3 feet

White Label Drives / Generic Drives = Refurbished Drives

All the white label drives I received worked, I ran a lengthy surface test just to make sure there were no bad sectors and read speed and records were accurate. what is expected of mechanical drives. These drives are usually remanufactured by major drive manufacturers, but they put their own label on the drive. Drives as they no longer have a valid standard warranty. Both drives I received were Hitachi HUS724030ALE641, these drives were released around 2012/2013 and had a 5 year warranty at the
