🚗 B&M 80842 Pro Ratchet Auto Shifter for 3 & 4 Speed Transmissions Review

I have a 1/4 Mileer that I built. Integrated TH350 transmission with a 10" 3500 lock-up converter. I needed a nice, clean, crisp shifter without breaking the bank. (Not easy to do). This block works on "T". Not only am I not worried about the switch. in reverse. but it also includes a neutral safety switch. The cable that connects the derailleur to the gearbox is more than long enough and of excellent quality. I like it!

This shifter is full ratchet. Each gear you shift into requires one click, with the exception of reverse, which requires two clicks. It's annoying and unnecessary. I called tech support, they said this is normal. Reverse lock is a joke. If you shift your car into neutral from reverse, you can still turn it back on and the lock won't stop it. When you're ready to park out of place, your car won't shift fully into neutral because it will snap into reverse (idle), then the shifter will be knocked…

Installed yesterday in a specialist workshop on my 2000 transmission. There are videos and photos online showing how this switch was installed with the factory center console. . not possible without many modifications. It took a highly skilled workshop over 10 hours to get 90% installed and working, the other 10% is a custom mount I would have to make to get my ABS 2 sensor closer to the back of the car because the switch blocks mounting area. This thing only has two gears that I can use. If you're using a 4 speed gearbox, take out both pins that hold a metal plate in the center that moves and allows you to shift. Well, there isn't enough structural integrity in between, and there's nothing stopping it from moving and hitting the ground, preventing the lever from grabbing the next gear on the cog. I called B&M and they told me to use Amazon for a refund but they can't get Amazon to refund. It has a standard 1 year warranty and I…
