Works perfectly with Raspberry Pi 4 on RetroArch

This controller works great with my Raspberry Pi 4 and RetroArch. I had problems with other controllers, in particular the PS3 was not working and was unstable. Couldn't get PS4 to work with bluetooth so decided to give it a try. It worked great right out of the box with no reconfiguration required.

Be careful with Raspberry Pi 4

This review refers to the USB version. Great controller build. Most of the keys were recognized by my retro pi on my raspberry pi. Unfortunately, the trigger buttons (LT and RT) were not recognized. I emailed support and they suggested holding x or y when connecting the controller. When I held down x, the trigger buttons were not recognized. When I plugged in while holding y, none of the keys were recognized. Support blamed the old software (which admittedly isn't the final version) so I justโ€ฆ

Best PC/Switch Controller

To be honest, this controller surprised me a bit. The quality of the controller itself and the buttons was on par with the Switch Pro controller. It's also very light and comfortable to hold, and works with most PC games I've tested. This controller also works well on the Switch. I had no problem getting the controller to work on the switch as many controllers have trouble connecting to the switch, it's just a simple plug and play process. All in all you get a great all-round controller that is

Strange inconsistencies for PC

Seems like the side buttons are only recognized if you buy a Bluetooth enabled controller, not a wired one. it is strange. To me, the quality just doesn't feel like what it is. For other reasons I had to buy a Blue Tooth controller and ended up buying a used PS4 controller. So far I've just plugged this thing into all my devices and it's worked great. Note that I haven't connected to raspPi yet. but I don't see why it could be worse. If I had to do it again I wouldn't buy them (I bought twoโ€ฆ

Retropie Build on Controllers

I bought a couple of these for some Retropie setups I'm building for family Christmas gifts. I opened a couple of these and on both controllers the trigger buttons weren't recognized in the controller settings (button pressed all day on the button mapping screen and nothing). All other buttons are recognized and working correctly except R2 and L2. I opened up the controller and found that they appear to be working (the guts are there and it looks like they should work). I bought them becauseโ€ฆ

Good for Nintendo Switch, not so good for PC/Emulator

A few months ago I heard feedback from gamers and streamers that they would never try the 8BitDo controller. Many gamers have tried the SN30 Pro+ and now love it. I really didn't want to spend $49.99 on a Pro+, but stumbled across this one for half the price. It was much better in the price range I was looking for. I tried playing this controller with my Nintendo Switch and PC in the emulator. This controller works great with Nintendo Switch! I've only played Mario Maker 2 so far and the ABXYโ€ฆ

Overall great controller although cable is short

Bought an 8Bitdo SN30 Pro USB gamepad to use with Nintendo Switch because I love my 8Bitdo Sn30 Pro+ bluetooth controller (which I've been using for 6 months) ...but I prefer wired controllers as they don't turn off during periods of inactivity (like watching a video or a show). This controller arrived today and so far I find it at least as easy to use & high quality as the 8Bitdo Sn30 Pro+. I have fairly small hands, which might be something to consider if you have big hands, but thisโ€ฆ

Great addition to any retro gaming rig

Retro gaming is more than just the games themselves; The controller is part of the experience and that part completes that experience. Although there's a lot of stuff crammed into this thing, it retains the old form factor from the 8-bit and 16-bit days while still containing enough buttons to cover the comparisons for most classic consoles. In fact, I think it covers the full range of mapped controllers for the XBox controller (which is also its driver of choice). The general build qualityโ€ฆ

Almost perfect but doesn't work on any of the platforms advertised

I expected to like them immediately. I pulled them out and when I tried to use them, a downside immediately showed up. The Raspberry Pi emulation station does not recognize trigger buttons. You can match them in retroarch and they will work. However, the left analog stick doesn't seem to work in the PlayStation. For this to work you need to enable something in Retroarch so it works for the PlayStation but not for other things like the Nintendo 64. I tried installing the Xbox drivers. because it
