Back to Wet Board

So almost anything will burn holes in these. Plasma torch slag burns large holes, even grinding wheel slag is burned in this one. I could live with that for the price. Wet cardboard works best. However, even after a month of use, the constantly flying pieces of fiberglass aren't the best.

And even though it's fiberglass, it doesn't scratch or anything.

Although the website says 1000 degrees I can confirm that this duvet will withstand higher temperatures. This is a very high quality product and although it is made of fiberglass it doesn't itch or anything. It is VERY VERY well built and will definitely last for many years.

Lots of loose fibers at 6x8 and a few runs into the fabric seemed to be pulled along sharp metal edges.

Bought to hide the smokehouse indoors in winter. I took it out of the box and noticed strands of fiberglass all over the patio. There were also a few bits of material, like it got caught on sharp metal edges. Bought to cover Traeger Lil Tex when not in use in winter and to keep warm when used outside in temperatures below 35 degrees. 6x8 is huge. After returning a defective 6x8, I ordered a 4x6 from diff. I hope he doesn't have the same fiber optic problem. We'll see when we get it

Ideal for insulating a pellet grill

I bought this welding blanket to insulate a pellet grill when cooking in cold weather. I fold it in half and place it on my Green Mountain Grills Daniel Boone while I cook. It fits perfectly and works great! My Daniel Boone's temperature is more consistent and fewer pellets are used. I used to use moving blankets until one of them caught fire; I'm pretty sure that won't happen with this one. It looks well made and has survived some pretty rough treatment. Can't rate its value as a sweat…

Great insulation blanket for my Traeger

Before moving to the North East I lived in the South West with a Traeger year round. Even on mild Tucson winter days, I could smoke a Boston Butt or Brisket all day without worrying about running out of pellets. Circumstances changed and we ended up in the Northeast. Using my Traeger all year round seemed a thing of the past. Then someone recommended a sweat blanket for insulation and this product changed the world of smoking. Now I can smoke all day at temperatures above 30 at the half funnel.

Great thermal blanket for grilling in cold weather!

Very nice, well made fiberglass blanket. Very soft and comfortable to wear. The delivery was very fast, 2 days, thank you very much! with difficulty reaching a high temperature in the cold. This blanket has solved this problem and also keeps the temperature stable. I fold it a few times to fit the width of the grill lid and it's very effective for insulation. and back to balance it from slipping. but it's easy to do. although you may need to consider how to keep the vents clean.
