Your car engine may not get hot

This is the largest size of these adhesive heaters and will fit all parts of the Honda 3.5 liter V6 engine in my Saturn Vue. However, it's not really strong enough to keep the engine warm. But he keeps it _warmer_.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Available in black only

Hardly a coffee cup warmer

Very easy to apply, the adhesive is strong. The heat generated by this heating pad is barely enough to heat a cup of coffee. At best, unimpressed. Installed on a pickup truck engine for easier winter starting. doesn't do the job. A metal bowl 1 inch away from the heating pad becomes ice cold after 12 hours of overnight plugging.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Easy to Install: Engine Heaters

Just installed this heater in my car. I don't know how well this works yet. I carefully cleaned the bottom of the oil pan. I then attached the gasket to the oil pan and then rolled it in place with a small hand roller. To make sure I didn't come off I used a high temp gasket around the edges. As soon as the night temperatures drop below 20 degrees I will see how well this works.

Low profile heat source

I bought two of these heaters to keep the metal feed trough from freezing in the winter. A heater prevents ice formation in 30F during the day and single digit temperatures at night. I installed 2 heaters on the trough knowing it was only going to get colder. With 2 connected drinking troughs, the edges of the drinking troughs do not freeze in sub-zero temperatures. I put up a trough to keep warm and prevent wind shear from the heated area. The trough is approximately 27 gallons. I will for…

Was difficult to use and didn't work.

Bought this product for my car to keep the oil warm on cold starts. First, it doesn't stick to my oil pan. I had to jack up the car to get to the pallet. The sticky backing wasn't good and when I put it back in place and plugged it in within 30 seconds, there was smoke coming out of the installed area and it smelled like my car was on fire too. Not the ideal item for the job. Disappointed with everything. I will no longer shop from this company.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Unthinking

Oil warms like a champ.

It was easy to install and works great. I put it on a 6 cylinder 3.0 liter BMW E90. I also connected it to an Alexa plug so I can ask Alexa to warm up the car for an hour or two before I have to drive in the winter. Engine at temp. Now it immediately takes on operating temperature. Gas mileage is +5mpg up for short trips, cam ticking is gone and the heater heats up much quicker.

It works to the point

I had a mounting surface that was so clean it was sterile lol. I attached it to the bottom front of my 5.3 Chevy Tahoe. I also added sealant around the edges. So far everything works as described. I turn it on for 15-20 minutes on days when the temperature is below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Valve train "ticking” practically disappears after a few seconds, as opposed to 30-40 seconds before installation. After about 30 seconds, however, it seems normal. Cold start valve lifter "Tick" is back. I…
