Abus Granit 640 U Lock Black Review

Much lighter than my old kryptonite lock and nobody in New York has tried to tamper with it. The locking mechanism is a little trickier than my Evolution, but it's worth it for the weight savings and the fact that any would-be thief would have to cut it twice to take it off.

Saved my third bike from theft! Small but very strong, it's lightweight so I can keep it locked to the frame without slowing down. It's quite narrow so I have to find smaller things to secure the bike which may be less convenient than a longer chain but easier to carry around.

Keeps honest people honest. Don't count on complete safety though, an angle grinder can cut through a hanger in a minute or three. The lock is pretty good, although an expert can open it in less than a minute, which is unlikely. It's also small so you have to lock it tight and unlike my big Abus this one only locks one bike.
