A must have for stereo receivers and amps, old and new

I bought an Aircom S9 to cool a recently refurbished almost 30 year old JVC RX-905V and spent $150 to to rebuild the power supply board after a low voltage, capacitors on it exploded and caused the failure. Some may (rightly) ask why someone would spend so much money repairing a 30 year old receiver instead of investing that money in a new receiver. All I can say is that my JVC RX-905V is flawless and has served my old ears very well for years. Combined with four Boston Acoustics CR-9 speakers…

Good, but. for internal components

I recently bought a new AV Receiver and noticed how hot it gets after a broadcast. So I figured for durability I'd put a fan on top to dissipate the heat. The good news is that this thing seems to be moving a lot of air through the receiver and I think it should keep the electronics cool and hopefully for a (er) long time. There are multiple modes of operation available on the fan and I chose Smart mode. This allows the device to turn itself on and off automatically, and the fan speed will…

BUY IT! Computers and accessories

I spent almost a week with him. I bought both S9 and S6. Installing HT always works and I installed this cooler on an Emotiva xpa5. If you have special amps, you all know how they heat up. No longer. The best thing about this product is that it is fully automated. Set and forget. I've never seen coolers run more than a quarter speed all the time. I watched Mortal Kombat yesterday and the amps were heavily loaded in some scenes. This is an amazing product and as mentioned here the quality…

So I've been working tirelessly for the past few months to turn my unused living room into the home theater space I've always dreamed of. I finally finished a few weeks ago and it's time to buy a new receiver. I spent a few weeks of hard earned money installing the last AVR Denon had to offer and hiding all the wiring. However, to my dismay, the top of my new receiver felt like I could fry a meal of sausage and eggs after a few minutes of my music rocking my house. It never occurred to me how…

Thermostatic control, programmable and very quiet.

With these 3 x 120mm. Fan unit, programmable and thermostatic controls are very strong, very desirable selling points. It replaced a "Cooler Guys" dual 120mm fan (which I had to build maybe 3 years ago) that was manually controlled with a small pot. There were some fingers crossed as to which setting would work best. Full speed was loud, around 55+ dB on my SPL meter. The AVR is only about 12+ feet but I measured the SPL difference. This unit operates 3-5dB less with the same racquet…

Keeps your devices nice and cool

I have used laptop coolers but they are more durable and much more efficient. They have an LED indicator that tells you what position the fan is in and can be distracting, but a bit of tape will do the trick. I have no problem with the product but upon receipt the Revain box in which it was a double box was opened. A single strip of tape had been torn from either end of the box and along the long top flap. This was my second fan, the first one came without a double box at all and with a "Do not

A must if you have a large stereo receiver.

I have a large Onkyo Stereo Receiver/Home Theater and like to crank up the volume. The problem is that you can smell a fragrance literally "cooking", for there is no better term. the smell of something too hot in the air. I was concerned that it would eventually blow through, so I wondered if Revane had any solutions. Then I found this. I bought it with one click and it arrived quickly the next day. I have to tell you that I love this case. No more overheating and I can enjoy my stereo at full…
