AC20 JobSite Utility DUCTape White Review

I was looking for something to spice up my homemade dog hoop jump and this blue duct tape along with another red roll I bought matched it perfectly.

I bought this tape for a DIY project. I wanted to make big candies for Christmas. The product worked for what I needed it for. Can't say if it would be perfect for all needs as the scotch didn't seem as sticky as regular scotch.

I hang drone gates with tape (supports the fabric parts) and this is a demanding outdoor application (wind, sun, rain) that other tapes I've purchased are not suitable for. This one did and the colors were a bonus

This tape is thinner than the tape I usually buy and the reinforcing fiber network is clearly visible. There were several small holes in the tape at the beginning of the roll. It seems to have good adhesion and flexibility, but I wouldn't dare use it for heavy work.

I was expecting a smooth white tape like most brands, but this one has a visible checkerboard pattern (through the inner strands of the tape) so was not smooth and looked for the project I had in mind looked too cheesy. I would only recommend it for work where aesthetics are not an issue. Overall I was disappointed.

This tape was purchased to seal seams in a white insulation panel for garage doors. The joint area is cleaned and thoroughly dried. Ambient temperature was below 70°C with very low humidity for the Midwest. The insulation board has a very thin, slightly textured surface. I used this tape after having problems with the adhesion of tapes recommended for installing insulation panels on garage doors. This tape solved the problem and the glue held up very well in the cold winter. Most importantly, the white color matched well with the white foil on the insulation boards and gave the project an attractive look.

This IPG tape is far superior to any 3M tape simply because its adhesion is far more effective. It's "waterproof" which 3M tapes don't have, so it can stick to any surface like glass to hold the laminated sign in a storm door when condensation causes other tapes to fail. It also works well for outdoor projects where moisture is an issue. I needed to secure a large piece of plexiglass in a vinyl window. It's a large hinged window, and the inner screen has a little mounting tab, so the plexiglass had to be cut precisely. This is a new window in a new apartment building and they didn't want us putting screws in the window to hold the plexiglass in place. They just wanted me to tape it in place. So I did.
