The purpose of this is to adhere to the dashboard so you can install the GPS. The adhesive pad came off on first use. If you have a perfectly flat dashboard with no texture or want to attach it to your windshield, this might be for you. Otherwise buy elsewhere.

I bought these to replace a shoe I previously removed from my car. I bought a new suction cup accessory but it wasn't foam and didn't stick to the textured dashboard in my car. They have an adhesive foam backing that sticks to more surfaces and is very durable.

I bought this for a phone mount. I had other adhesives on the dash that held up with no problem. Unfortunately, this one always wants to peel off. I live in Florida and we had 35 degree weather the other day and it didn't want to stay. Put a new one in and then the temp dropped to 40 and wanted to pull off again. I think it has to be in the 70's to keep them.

One suggestion: make sure you know where you want to place it because you don't have to remove it to move unless you're moving to move. However, I moved it and it has still held up very well.

While I found this very suitable for my use, the grip on the dashboard was short lived, probably no longer than 3-4 months before it started peeling. I put it on at the recommended outside temperature, cleaned the dashboard material very carefully, being careful not to put it exactly where the last one was, and allowed 24 hours to cure before putting the suction cup on it. In the end he was still peeling off the dashboard (after 3-4 months). I use the second to exercise the same or better care…

These mounting discs are complete nonsense and completely useless. The adhesive disc came off the mounting plate exactly as instructed three days after installation. The photos are also obviously wrong as they show the rims come with 3M foam tape and the ones I received have regular foam tape which is totally unsuitable for fitting in cars.

When using alcohol swabs to clean dashboard be very careful. It cleaned mine of the used stain and left me with a huge black area without any stain whatsoever. Now I need to remove some tan stain from the vinyl and see if I can gently restore my tan line to its original shine. I would recommend using a vinyl cleaner before gluing this button. Otherwise it works fine. Once stuck, it held out in the Las Vegas summer heat without flying away.

This product was a waste of money. The plastic is too hard, the adhesive is too weak and the surface is too large. I was very disappointed with the product I received. I wanted to hang this on the dash so I could hang a phone holder on it. However the product was hard cheap plastic so you must have a completely flat surface, after I glued it to the dashboard the glue didn't even allow the product to stick. So upset. Not recommended for purchase
