while it works fine. for tire gauges

I compared this item to an older gauge (made in USA) and they showed about the same thing. So far the pressure hold button has still worked, but I remember more than a few gauges I've bought to keep in my cars in the past having the pressure hold function disabled. The reason I bought the model with the hose attached was so I could see the dial while still sliding it over the stem in case it failed to hold the pressure. The tubing also makes it easier for me to see the dial when trying toโ€ฆ

Obviously poor quality, no returns Still available

Updated review: Don't be fooled by the word "battery" in the name - after 3-4 uses the pressure gauge does not drop to the lower limit after pressing the valve. Compared with two other pressure gauges and a pressure gauge on the pump - now the readings are inaccurate. Spoken not long ago and with no possibility of return. This thing is built to a quality level sufficient to work properly for a few uses, and then crap?! Disappointing. I would happily spend a few bucks more for a product thatโ€ฆ

Lack of Accuracy Best in Tire & Wheel Tools

Based on reviews from Revain, I had high hopes for this analog tire pressure sensor. The most accurate analog gauges are made with a Bourdon tube mechanism inside, and this one was advertised as being designed that way. Upon arrival I checked the pressure readings with this gauge several times and they were consistently 1 PSI lower than the other two calibrated Bourdon tubular gauges I had. Although the manufacturer has stated that it meets ANSI B40.1 for pressure readings - ยฑ2%. On the mediumโ€ฆ

Terrible quality. Finally returned it.

I bought this gauge because I was looking for a straight chuck and I liked that Accu-Gage has been around for decades and is known for their durable and accurate gauges. They actually still make some of their sensors in the US, but they're many times more expensive than the cheaper models they sell. I wrongly assumed that even though they are made in China, they would still apply the same level of quality control that they are known for. I was wrong. From the very first time I tried this gaugeโ€ฆ

Inaccurate readings - tools and equipment

This instrument was purchased in May 2018. The straight chuck is great, the dial is very easy to read and feels very solid. I like this gauge because the dial is very, very easy to read. I recently noticed that my tires seemed to be under-inflated, so I checked the air with two old gauges. Both gauges had the same reading, but the Accu-Gage reading was 3-4 psi lower. This is very disappointing as driving cars with low air pressure affects fuel economy, not to mention reduced tire life. Thisโ€ฆ

No complaints, easy to use tire gauge

Works well and matches my other gauges. It's easy to get the measurement and easy to read. Reading is frozen on the screen until you press the button, a very handy feature. You can also use the button to slowly release excess air. I was surprised how much more I enjoy using this sensor compared to my digital gauges. This meter is much larger than my cheap digital meters, which is why I have an Accu-Gage at home and still pack my digital meters in my car. It looks like this version is no longerโ€ฆ

Disappointing in accuracy

I have had an Accu-Gage for years and it recently dropped and broke. So I bought a new one with a protective rubber cover and then decided to buy a second one for our other car. I traced a slow leak and got a reading that there was no air loss for several days, then used a different gauge and got a reading 3lbs lower (really showing I was leaking anyway). I then measured the air in all of my tires and found that two NEW Accu-Gage gauges showed a 3 lb difference. This is very frustrating andโ€ฆ

Excellent caliber. The extra features are worth it.

Haven't night tested it yet and it's a bit pricey for a basic meter but it's clearly very well made, sturdy and has a nice attached tube making it an easy read . the actual gauge - you're not stuck with your head bent because the railhead is in a weird spot. The spike that goes into the tire is great. It seals well and when you pull it off it pops out quickly with no air escaping. Best of all, if your tires are over-inflated, there's a deflation valve you can use to release the pressure. Myโ€ฆ
